Theory is done. I turned in my paper and presented my pet theory on Thursday. Why Don't Zebras get Ulcers by Robert Sapolsky is a fascinating book about stress. He goes through the body system by system and explains the effects of stress on every organ. Stress is bad. The worst thing about it is that as humans we worry about things that haven't even happened yet and might not even happen!! I sure do.
I've tried meditation, but it's too noisy in my head for that. My stress relief is reading. I read whatever books are free from Amazon (crappy romance novels). They are entertaining and I am not responsible for their content.

My last Archaeology class is Tuesday. My group and I worked on our lab write-up all day yesterday. We also made a PowerPoint for the presentation. While we were in the lab, we discovered this...
Apparently someone opened the door to the lab balcony and the wind caught it (?) and slammed the handle into the window next to the door. It's a double paned window, so only the outside window is shattered. We noticed it because the wind picked up and knocked some of the glass pieces out and we heard it. Someone knows they did it. I bet they were afraid to say something. Bummer.
My cohort and I hosted the 2015 Winterfest Party for the Anthro Dept. on Friday night. It was a lot of fun. Matia and I decorated while Peter, Kayla and Jenn went to Costco. The department gets a permit from the Washington State Board of Cannabis and Liquor to serve beer and wine.
The decorations were Christmas tacky. We even had a yule log burning on the projector screen and holiday music in the background. (It was a lot prettier when it was all the way dark and the room was only lit by Christmas lights and the fire.) It was hot in there too, so it really felt like we had a fire going. LOL!
The party is an opportunity for everyone to get together and have fun. (Read mingle and small talk). I feel so awkward making small talk.
Afterwards, I went out for drinks with my cohort (minus Matia). That was fun. We got a free round of drinks when Peter decided to walk over the table instead of going around it. I think the bartender told him if he NEVER did that again, we could have a round on the house. Oh my!
