Two weeks plus finals left in winter quarter. I won't have any tests, but I have papers due for both of my classes.
I just finished my mini-ethnography for MedAnth. I interviewed my oldest son Colton about Eosinophilic Esophagitis. We talked about his diagnosis and the treatment he has received as well as how it affects his social life and school. It does much more than I realized.
Dr. Stevenson and I got through six rounds of the bone practical. I was surprised by the number of students who don't even know the bones, let alone landmarks. That is all that we asked. What bone is this? What landmark is this? No rights or lefts, no fragments. I watched their faces as they took the test. You could tell when they knew the answer or when they really had no clue. The sad thing is that they had 8 weeks to study and very few took the opportunity to do so. Oh well. It's only a 1/8th of their grade.
I have graded 480+ lab write-ups so far. I have completely lost my nice by now.
I registered for Spring quarter. I will be taking Primate Evolution, the History of Anthropology and another Research Mentorship class. I will also have another class to TA.
I submitted my housing renewal for next year. I hope to end up in the campus run apartments because Grace will be living with me next year. If not, I will be looking for an apartment off campus. Either way, Kelly will be able to visit more often.
